Our Experience
Sectors we support
Defence
Phinteq works across the Defence ecosystem, supporting the Services, Groups, agencies, regulators and industry partners that contribute to capability. Our people understand the practical challenges of developing, acquiring, delivering and sustaining complex systems, and we work across maritime, land, air, space and cyber as independent advisors or as integrated members of client teams.
Government and Regulators
Phinteq supports government agencies and regulators working in complex, safety-critical environments. We help regulators design and establish regulatory systems, including authority structures, frameworks, assurance models and measures of regulatory performance. We also help agencies turn policy and regulatory obligations into practical, defensible outcomes, working as independent technical advisors alongside client teams.
Transport
Across maritime, aviations and land transport, Phinteq helps clients manage safety, technical risk and system performance throughout the capability lifecycle. Alongside engineering, assurance, test and evaluation, and regulatory expertise, we conduct safety, incident, accident and human performance investigations. We establish what happened, identify contributing factors and use the findings to improve systems and operations.
National Security
Phinteq supports national security agencies, including those within the Home Affairs portfolio such as the Australian Border Force. We bring engineering, safety, risk, assurance and test and evaluation expertise to complex operational environments, helping teams define requirements, assess emerging capabilities and make confident decisions about systems, people and operations.
Domains we work across
Maritime
Our people bring extensive naval and commercial maritime experience across engineering, assurance, test and evaluation, safety and risk management. We combine operational maritime experience with technical and regulatory expertise to help clients develop, deliver and sustain safe, effective and seaworthy capability.
Aviation
Phinteq supports aviation programs from capability planning through delivery and operational introduction. Our people bring program and capability management, safety and risk, assurance, and test and evaluation expertise to complex aviation systems. We help clients manage delivery and technical and operational risk, and demonstrate that capability is safe, suitable and ready for use.
Land
Phinteq supports Army and joint capabilities spanning land operations, littoral manoeuvre and special operations. We assess equipment, procedures and the interfaces between people and systems, bringing systems engineering, safety and risk management, and test and evaluation expertise to demanding operational environments.
Space
Phinteq supports space capability through systems engineering, assurance, test and evaluation, and governance expertise. Our experience includes designing a space test and evaluation enterprise, developing and executing space surveillance and control test programs, and work on space electronic warfare systems. Phinteq is a registered provider on the Australian Space Agency’s Space Capabilities and Services Panel.
Cyber and Emerging Technology
Phinteq helps clients understand how cyber and emerging technologies affect the safety, performance and assurance of complex systems. Our people bring information and communications technology, cyber, software engineering, systems engineering and risk management expertise to technology integration and change. We examine system dependencies and give clients the evidence to adopt new technology with confidence.
Nuclear
Phinteq supports nuclear-related programs with expertise in safety, security, safeguards, risk, governance and regulatory assurance. Our people understand the scrutiny applied to nuclear activities and the importance of clear accountabilities, disciplined decision-making and technically defensible evidence. Our team includes a senior member who holds a Professional Certificate in Nuclear Law and is a member of the Australian Nuclear Association and Women in Nuclear Australia.
Weapons
Phinteq supports the development and assurance of complex weapons capabilities, including long-range strike and emerging hypersonic systems. Our experience spans guided weapons and integrated air and missile defence, where our people have led test and evaluation strategy, verification and validation, and hazard analysis. We help clients define requirements, assess system interfaces and prepare weapons for safe integration and operational readiness.
Autonomous Systems
Phinteq helps clients develop, evaluate and assure autonomous systems across maritime, land and air environments. We focus on the questions that matter most for autonomy: system behaviour, human oversight and operational limits. We help define requirements and build the evidence needed to introduce autonomous capability safely and effectively.
